Tecma takes care of important compliance details for you

Mexican Social Security (IMSS)

Missing prescribed payments to Mexican Social Security (IMMS) results in fines. This fund covers hospital expenses, medical care, surgery, and medication. IMSS operates under the Mexican Secretariat of Health. Tecma makes government-mandated monthly contributions for each employee.

Worker Housing (INFONAVIT)

INFONAVIT is the main Mexican state institution for ensuring that families obtain adequate housing. INFONAVIT compliance consists of payments that are 5% of the employees’ base salary. They must be made every two months by the 17th day.

Retirement Savings System (SAR)

Tecma makes mandatory payments to Mexico’s retirement income system (SAR). SAR has three components: a means-tested age pension called 65+; a mandatory defined contribution system with a minimum pension; and other individual and occupational private plans.

Mexican Tax Authority (SAT)

Tecma client companies enjoy reduced risk related to keeping records of online digital tax receipts (CFDIs). These are digital versions of paper invoices that are encrypted, bear digital signatures that verify their origin and authenticity.

Environmental Secretariat (SEMARNAT)

Active Mexican legislation covering environmental issues is governed by the General Law of Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection (LGEEPA). Tecma compliance professionals work together with you to make sure that your company adheres to the law’s environmental guidelines.

Mexican Labor Law

Tecma staff has been trained in changes made to Mexican labor law under the United States-Mexico-Canada Free Trade Agreement. Tecma carries the risk associated with the protection of worker rights, including the right to join or not join a union.

Mexican Customs Law

Compliance with customs law requires highly trained individuals. Failure to abide by Mexican customs legislation can result in the levying of significant fines and penalties. Tecma is responsible for generating pedimentos, Mexico’s shipping manifest, as well as commercial invoices.
