Company CEO, David Anderson, states that, “At ExpressPoint Technology Services we strive to improve our services every year.”

Recently Tecma Group client company, the Minneapolis, Minnesota-based, ExpressPoint , held its 9th Annual Continuous Improvement Summit. ExpressPoint’s leadership team champions continuous business improvement. The event took place near its Ciudad Juarez, Mexico location.

The fifty plus individuals in attendance were from the several ExpressPoint Technology Services North American Facilities, and included customers and suppliers. In addition to its Mexico operations and Minneapolis Headquarters, ExpressPoint operates a third facility in Columbus, Ohio.

The Summit is a daylong event during which the organization’s management assesses the most “impactful’ continuous improvement projects completed throughout the company during the calendar year. Although ExpressPoint personnel works on an average of thirty such projects a year, five or six are presented for review during the ExpressPoint Technology Services Continuous Improvement Summit.

Three projects are rated exceptional and awards are presented to participating teams. Continuous improvement projects submitted for consideration come from all of the company’s facilities, and can come from any individual department within one of the three ExpressPoint locations. Projects that receive ExpressPoint Continuous Improvement Summit awards are determined based upon the examination of several criteria, which include:

  • Adherence to the use of quality tools and methodologies.
  • Overall positive impacts on key company metrics such as profitability, process efficiency, product quality and customer service;

When queried as to the importance of the annual company gathering, COO Kelly Dudek explained that “ExpressPoint’s Continuous Improvement Summit” is a “tool that we use so that we ensure that we keep the company’s culture focused on improving all aspects of the company’s operations at all times.”
