On January 25, 2023, The Tecma Group, leader in shelter services for the manufacturing industry and active contributor to the regional economic development through more than 9,000 jobs that have been generated to date, inaugurated its plant number 38 in Ciudad Juarez with its business ally Modineer Group.

Modineer Group

Modineer is a leading manufacturer and fabricator of low to medium-volume complex metal components and assemblies for automotive, military, truck/trailer, and industrial markets. Their production process entails stamping, roll forming, welding, machining, painting, e-coating, and other specialty processes. Headquartered in Niles, Michigan, Modineer manufactures more than 35 million components per year and has over 800 employees operating from nine different facilities with a combined square footage that exceeds 700,000 across Michigan, Indiana, and Missouri.

With more than 15 years of experience in their field, they have successfully added an investment of over $30 million in their operations within the United States. Modineer has evolved into the leader within the industry after successfully optimizing its product and achieving a market share of almost 95% in the United States. As a result, they have decided to expand operations and tap into new business opportunities within the LATAM market, primarily in Mexico.

Tecma partnered with Modineer Group to set up and establish operations in Ciudad Juarez. The new building combines two existing manufacturing plants that exceed 145,000 square feet, has 32-foot long ceilings, and more than six shipping bays. The newly inaugurated facilities are located on Santiago Troncoso Avenue, in Lote Bravo.

At the inauguration ceremony, we witnessed the presence of the Mayor of Ciudad Juarez; Mr. Cruz Perez Cuellar, along with Alan Russell; Chairman & CEO of Tecma, Toby Spoon; Tecma Vice President, Edward Hamilton; Modineer Group CEO, Drew Jeffrey; New Business Development Vice President of Modineer, Juan Arenas; Plant manager in Ciudad Juarez, among other representatives from both corporations.
